In a video statement, she claimed that before his assassination, Mohammed Deif had promised her that Salameh would be freed in the current deal.</p><p>Salameh, a senior Hamas figure from Hebron, is serving 46 life sentences in Israel for orchestrating multiple suicide bombings in the 1990s and is considered one of Hamas’s most prominent prisoners.</p>
