The election in Hungary comes as Israel prepares for an election in the next six months, as Israelis ponder whether Magyar will be as supportive of Israel and its leader as Orban was.

The left-wing Democrats Party is composed of the Labor and Meretz parties, which merged in 2024. Dabush is expected to run for one of the reserved Meretz slots on the party’s list.

Katz noted that the IDF was awaiting the green light from the US, adding that future attacks would be "different and deadly," targeting "the most painful places."

When asked how the Mamdani administration defines antisemitism, MOCA executive director Phylisa Wisdom said: “Across city government, there is not a definition codified for any form of hate at all.”

The attack occured at approximately 2 p.m. near the food court in the mall, city police said. Five suspects are in police custody.
